Project Engineer - Dry Scrubbers / Air Pollution Control
We are seeking an experienced Project/Submittal Engineer with a strong background in mechanical or manufacturing engineering and air pollution control systems, specifically dry scrubbers. The ideal candidate brings direct experience with dry scrubbers from equipment suppliers or municipal wastewater engineering firms.
In this role, you'll interpret project specifications, generate technical documentation, guide drafting teams, and ensure projects are executed on time and on budget. You'll work on custom-engineered environmental control systems across industrial and municipal applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret project specifications and develop technical documentation (P&IDs, PFDs, BOMs).
- Specify buy-out components and evaluate supplier data for procurement decisions.
- Guide drafting teams to create accurate submittal drawings and models.
- Generate and maintain Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring milestones, schedules, and budgets are met.
- Identify potential performance risks, cost overruns, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Participate in technical calls and provide solutions as needed.
Qualifications:
- BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience with dry scrubbers and air pollution control equipment.
- Manufacturing or municipal wastewater industry experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and project management tools.
