Junior Superintendent
Location: Atlantic City, NJ & Central Monmouth, NJ
Overview
We are seeking two Junior Superintendents to support a portfolio of public-sector construction and renovation projects. This role is ideal for early-career professionals with some construction experience who are looking to grow their skills in site supervision and client-side project coordination.
This is a hands-on, site-based position focused on oversight, coordination, and contractor management rather than technical design or direct construction delivery. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the client representative on-site, overseeing day-to-day construction activities
- Monitor contractors to ensure work aligns with drawings, specifications, and project standards
- Coordinate multiple contractors across active sites
- Review and interpret construction drawings and project scope
- Track site progress, activity, and workforce using digital tools
- Lead and coordinate site meetings, including progress and coordination sessions
- Identify risks or issues early and escalate where required
- Support delivery of renovation works such as interiors, roofing, and similar scopes
- Assist in maintaining project schedules during active delivery phases
Requirements
- Background in construction, engineering, or a related field
- Previous experience working on public-sector projects is essential
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple contractors
- Comfortable working full-time on-site
- Basic computer skills for reporting and coordination
- Strong communication skills and confidence in leading meetings
