Director of Business Development - Energy & Environmental
We are partnering with a leading engineering and technical services organisation supporting complex federal programs to appoint a Director of Business Development within its Energy & Environmental division.
This is a senior growth leadership role responsible for driving federal business development strategy, managing the full capture lifecycle, and leading high-quality proposal efforts across DoD, DOE and related agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the full federal BD lifecycle, including opportunity identification, qualification, and pipeline development
- Develop and execute capture strategies for targeted federal procurements
- Lead and manage technical and cost proposal development in response to federal RFPs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with federal clients and strategic teaming partners
- Provide regular pipeline reporting and strategic growth input to senior leadership
- Collaborate with technical SMEs to shape winning solutions in renewable energy and environmental programs
Requirements:
- 7-10+ years of federal business development experience (DoD, DOE, Civilian agencies)
- Proven capture management experience with demonstrated contract wins
- Strong hands-on proposal leadership experience (technical and cost volumes)
- Experience within renewable energy and/or environmental services
- Track record of building qualified pipelines and forming successful teaming partnerships
- Bachelor's degree required
