We are partnering with a leading engineering and technical services organisation supporting complex federal programs to appoint a Director of Business Development within its Energy & Environmental division.

This is a senior growth leadership role responsible for driving federal business development strategy, managing the full capture lifecycle, and leading high-quality proposal efforts across DoD, DOE and related agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the full federal BD lifecycle, including opportunity identification, qualification, and pipeline development
Develop and execute capture strategies for targeted federal procurements
Lead and manage technical and cost proposal development in response to federal RFPs
Build and maintain strong relationships with federal clients and strategic teaming partners
Provide regular pipeline reporting and strategic growth input to senior leadership
Collaborate with technical SMEs to shape winning solutions in renewable energy and environmental programs

Requirements:

7-10+ years of federal business development experience (DoD, DOE, Civilian agencies)
Proven capture management experience with demonstrated contract wins
Strong hands-on proposal leadership experience (technical and cost volumes)
Experience within renewable energy and/or environmental services
Track record of building qualified pipelines and forming successful teaming partnerships
Bachelor's degree required
